Dr. Nora Bakaa has been awarded a CIHR Postdoctoral Fellowship (2025) to support her research on equitable rehabilitation access for older adults with musculoskeletal disorders (MSKDs). Held at Western University under the supervision of Dr. Jessica Wong and Dr. Pierre Côté, her research examines how intersecting identity factors (e.g., sex, gender, income, culture, newcommer status, etc.)  influence long-term rehabilitation use, with the goal of informing more inclusive and equitable care strategies for older Canadians.
